The rating system for hotels in Athens is similar to American hotels, with A, B and C-category hotels.
Just like American hotels, a C-category hotel can be just as good or better than a B-category hotel, depending on the individual's requirements.Because most of the trip will be spent outside of the hotel, it is important to find one that is centrally located, is clean, has air-conditioning if needed and is affordable. While working with a travel agent is the best bet to finding the perfect hotel, here are a few hotels from each category worth considering:
A-Category Hotels:
Athens Electra Palace Hotel
This hotel is located in the area of Plaka, just a short distance from the Acropolis. It offers all the accommodations a luxury hotel should, including a spa and a restaurant.
